Volume of trade between Russia and African countries 2013-2018

The annual volume of trade between Russia and countries located on the African continent more than doubled over the observed period, ranging from nearly 10 billion U.S. dollars in 2013 to over 20 billion U.S. dollars in 2018. Since 2015, the figure continuously increased, with the most significant increment recorded between 2016 and 2017. Russia's leading trade partner on the continent was Egypt, with the value of goods and services exchanged between them accounting for roughly a third of the total trade volume between Russia and African countries in 2018.
