U.S. imports from Russia February-November 2022, by commodity
The U.S. imports of petroleum and petroleum products from Russia decreased from approximately 1.4 billion U.S. dollars in February 2022 to zero U.S. dollars in November 2022. The U.S. banned oil imports from Russia in March 2022, though the government set a deadline to end existing deals until April 22, 2022. At the same time, U.S. imports of some commodities from Russia were higher in November 2022 than in February 2022, such as those of fertilizers and inorganic chemicals.
