Share of French people having ever resold a Christmas gift 2020, by age group

Barely unwrapped, some unwanted or poorly chosen gifts sometimes end up on online resale platforms as early as December 25th. However, taking a closer look at the profile of these resellers reveals that in 2020, most of them were under 44 years of age. In fact, the generation that used this practice the most were the 25-34 year olds (18 percent). At the time of the survey, only two percent of people in France over the age of 55 had ever resold a Christmas gift offered by their family and friends.

Have you ever sold a Christmas gift that a member of your entourage had offered you?
