Mexico: growth in credits granted 2019-2020, by type
In 2020, the number of credits for acquisition of durable consumer goods in Mexico increased by over 20 percent. That was the segment with the highest growth. However, most of the other types of credit experienced negative growth rates, coinciding with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of group loans decreased by 21 percent.
