Olive oil production in North Africa 2016-2020, by country
In the crop year 2019/2020, Tunisia was the leading producer of olive oil in North Africa, with production reaching 250 thousand metric tons. Morocco followed with 170 thousand metric tons. In the previous year, Morocco was leading, producing 200 thousand metric tons of olive oil. Moreover, other sources reported higher levels of olive oil production in Tunisia in the same period.
