Fnac Darty: ranking of most reparable devices in France 2019

The repair rate is the ratio of the number of repairs made with the replacement of a part to the total number with exchanged parts or products. Of the 620,000 repairs carried out by Fnac Darty's after-sales service in 2019 in France, washing machines and dryers were the most repaired appliances with a repair rate of between 80 and 90 percent. With a repair rate of zero percent, radios and radio alarms were replaced in all cases.

This study relies on three sources of data. The first is based on responses from more than 65,000 Darty customers who made a purchase between July 21 and August 23, 2020. This survey helps to identify the context of product renewal and the future of those products that have been replaced. It also takes into account more than 620,000 interventions carried out by Darty's after-sales service in 2019 during the first two years of the warranty for the 63 types of devices analyzed by the 2020 barometer. Thanks to this data, it is possible to know the distribution of repair types (with or without parts) associated with each product category, but also the reliability and repairability of products and brands, resulting in a podium ranking of 73 brands."
