United States: square footage occupied in malls 2020, by retail company
As of first quarter 2020, Macy's and JC Penny were the biggest mall tenants in the United States, occupying 6.2 percent and six percent, respectively, of the square footage in malls. Dillard's followed, occupying 3.4 percent of the country's shopping centers' square footage.
