Final consumption of natural gas in Africa, by region 2019
As of 2020, North Africa leaded the final consumption of natural gas in the continent. Over 1.7 million terajoules were consumed in the region. West Africa and Southern Africa followed, with more moderate levels of consumption; 170 thousand and 105 thousand terajoules, respectively. Overall, the final consumption of natural gas in Africa reached nearly 2.1 million terajoules as of the same year.
