Death incidence of selected cancer types in Mexico 2020, by gender
In 2020, breast cancer was the most deadly type of cancer among Mexican women, while prostate cancer caused the largest number of deaths among Mexican male patients. That year, around 11 men and women per 100,000 people in the North American country died due to these illnesses. Meanwhile, colorectum cancer took the lives of more than five women and nearly 7 men per 100,000 Mexican inhabitants. In 2019, the penetration rate of radiotherapy equipment in Mexican hospitals added up to only four percent.
