Number of battles recorded in Ghana 2017-2022
As of May 20, 2022, 10 new violent clashes involving at least two armed groups were recorded in Ghana. In 2019, 27 battles were recorded, which was the highest number within the period investigated. Generally, Ghana achieved a score of 1.72 on the Global Peace Index in 2021, ranking in the 38th position out of 163 countries.
