Germany: Civilian deaths primarily due to hunger.
Great Britain and Ireland: Civilian deaths primarily due to hunger and influenza.
Romania: Civilian deaths primarily due to hunger.
Russia: Lower estimate for military deaths given. Upper estimate is 2,254,369 military deaths, which would bring the total fatalities up to 2,754,369.
Turkey: Mortality rates due to illness was so high that the military fatalities may have been as high as 800,000. Civilian deaths primarily due to the expulsion of Armenians.
United States: Approximately half due to influenza.
