Chinese cinemas received a record 163 million visitors during the Spring Festival holiday in 2024, the country's most important fesitval. The number of Chinese movie-goers was up around 26 percent from the same season in 2023.

2023: January 21 to 27,
2024: February 10 to 17.

No figure for 2020 was available due to the lockdown resulted from the coronavirus pandemic.
