Breakdown of footwear superstores in France 2020, by region
In 2020, there were 665 non-food department stores in the footwear sector in France. The region of France in which these department stores were most numerous was Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, with 102 footwear department stores. It accounted for over 15 percent of this type of store nationwide, compared to just under 11 percent for the Ile de France region. Brittany, Corsica, Normandy and the overseas departments each had less than five percent.
