Preferred time for spring cleaning in Japan 2021

According to a survey conducted in March 2021, more than 75 percent of respondents in Japan cleaned their home thoroughly in December around the end of the year. Unlike the concept of spring cleaning in Western cultures, only about three percent of Japanese survey participants reported to deep clean their home during spring time.
