Value of IPO proceeds on the Italian Stock Exchange 2019-2021, by sector
From the first quarter of 2019 to the last quarter of 2021, the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana) IPO activity was dominated by the industrial sector in terms of the largest value of proceeds. IPO proceeds in this sector amounted to approximately 3.4 billion U.S. dollars. This was followed by the basic materials sector, with approximately 645 million U.S. dollars in proceeds of IPOs. The consumer discretionary sector completed the top three, with an IPO proceeds value of approximately 583 million U.S. dollars.
