Soft drinks consumption in Africa 2018, by country
Nigeria is the largest consumer of soft drinks in Africa. In 2018, the value of consumption in the country reached nearly 4.7 billion U.S. dollars. South Africa and Algeria followed. Each registered around 1.1 billion U.S. dollars in the consumption of soft drinks. According to the source, sub-Saharan Africa accounted for three percent of the total value of soft drinks consumed globally.
