National and local issues in regional elections in France 2021, by city size
It seems, according to a survey conducted shortly before the closing of polling stations during the first round of the regional elections, that these local and regional issues are a determining factor in the vote of the French. While the importance given to these issues varies somewhat depending on the size of the municipality on whose electoral list the voters are registered, three-quarters of the French said they voted on the basis of local or regional issues. The cities in which these issues had the least impact on voting were cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants.
