The second-hand market seems to be continuously evolving in France and worldwide.
The sporting goods retailer Decathlon is also participating in this trend through the implementation of three main second-hand sales services:
"Trocathlon": second-hand sales between private individuals,
"Buyback": purchasing equipment back from customers to resell it,
"Second-Life": reselling goods that were returned by customers.
While the "Trocathlon" program was shut down in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the other two services thrived during the period. The Buyback program experienced a 350 percent growth over that period.
