Number of foreign children in pre-primary schools in Iceland, 2001-2021
In Iceland, the total number of foreign children in pre-primary schools has increased steadily since 2001. While only 159 children with a foreign citizenship went to pre-primary schools in Iceland in 2001, the number was 1,761 in 2021; over ten times more. Of these, most come from Eastern Europe.
