Number of passenger cars Indonesia 2015-2022
In 2022, there were 17.18 million passenger cars in Indonesia, showing a slight increase from the previous year. As public transport facilities and infrastructures in Indonesia are still not sufficient, Indonesians preferred to use private vehicles. Indonesian car market is heavily dominated by Japanese car brands such as Toyota, Isuzu and Daihatsu.
