Public opinion on living near nuclear power plants in Italy 2021
According to a survey about the public opinion on a return of nuclear power generation to Italy, conducted on September 2021, a 9.6 percent share of survey respondents would support the return of nuclear power to Italy in order to provide electricity to the country, but would not be willing to live within a few miles of one. However, only 35 percent of the respondents would be supportive of the return of nuclear power plants and willing to live near one.
