The adoption of mobile banking in the United States increased consistently between December 2020 and May 2021. Distinguishing by generation, younger individuals displayed larger penetration rates than older. As of May 2021, 95 percent of targeted customers born after 1995 (Gen Z) used mobile banking. On the other hand, roughly one-quarter of senior individuals (born before 1946) used mobile banking.
