Private consumption forecast in the Nordics 2020-2025

Private consumption is fell in all five Nordic countries in 2020 as a result of COVID-19. The fall was most dramatic in Norway at nearly seven percent, with Denmark having the lowest fall at roughly 1.5 percent. However, the consumption increased in all five countries in 2021, and is expected to continue to have increased further in 2022 except for Denmark. Private consumption is estimated to have slowed somewhat in 2023 due to the high inflation rates.
