The travel and tourism industry in Norway has been heavily affected by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. In April 2020, roughly 330 thousand overnight stays were registered in Norway, while there were over two million overnight stays in April 2019. As many countries gradually reopening, more overnight stays were registered in the following months. In August 2020, both the figures for domestic and foreign overnight stays were lower than the previous year.
