
Main recipients of public investment in renewable energy in Africa 2010-2019
Public investment in renewable energy in Africa reached over 50 billion U.S. dollars between 2010 and 2019. During this period, Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa received nearly 50 percent of the total public investment in renewables. In Nigeria, the commitments amounted to 7.6 billion U.S. dollars. To follow, Morocco received nearly five billion U.S. dollars.
