EU27: Car purchasing intention by vehicle type and age group

In the European Union, over half of respondents over 30 years old reported intending to purchase a hybrid or electric vehicle. While around ten percent of under-20s were considering substituting their vehicle with public transport or a bike, passenger cars still remained the most popular mobility option for all participants.

Results include 1,601 respondents in the 15 to 19 years old group, 3,748 respondents in the 20 to 29 years old group, 8,152 respondents in the 30 to 49 years old group, 5,402 respondents in the 50 to 64 years old group, and 3,819 respondents in the 65 years old and over group.

Values have been rounded, so the results might not add up to 100 percent.
