In 2022, concrete products was the segment of the construction materials industry with the largest revenue in Germany. Cement had the second highest turnover in the construction materials industry, reaching approximately 3 billion euros that same year. Some of the other building materials with the highest turnover were clay building materials, refractory products, and quarrying of stone, sand, and clay.
