Share of employees with a temporary job in Norway 2021, by industry
In 2021, the education sector was the industry in Norway with the highest share of employees in temporary contracts. That year, almost 16 percent of the people employed in education in Norway worked on a temporary contract. The broad group of people categorizes as working in other service sectors had the second highest share, followed by employees in the accommodation and food services industry. Financial and insurance activities, on the other hand, had the lowest share of temporary employees with only 2.2 percent.
