Japan: home loan modifications approved by banks 2023

As of December 2023, banks in Japan had approved more than 79 thousand applications for a change of terms and conditions of housing loans since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. This represented an increase from around 77 thousand three months earlier.
