HNW collectors' median spending on NFTs 2021

According to a 2021 study on high net worth (HNW) collectors worldwide, Gen Z collectors had the highest median expenditure on non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Overall, collectors from this generation reported median spending of 30 million U.S. dollars on all types of NFTs and around 11 million U.S. dollars on art NFTs in 2021. That year, Boomer collectors also recorded a median expenditure of 11 million U.S. dollars on art-related NFT projects.

Additionally, to be included in the survey, collectors were required to have spent at least 10,000 U.S. dollars on fine or decorative art in both 2020 and 2021.

The source specified that the surveyed high net worth collectors were from the following markets: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, Singapore, and Brazil.
