Log production of timber plantations in Indonesia 2021, by island
In 2021, the total log production from timber plantations on Sumatra Island, Indonesia was 40.5 million cubic meters. While all public timber plantations in Indonesia are on Java Island, most Indonesian timber plantations are run by the private sector and are mainly located in Sumatra. Private-sector-run timber plantations in Indonesia primarily produce acacia wood, whereas public timber plantations mainly produce teakwood and pine wood.
