Global use of agricultural products & commodities by type 2021

For the 2019 to 2020 period, over 750 million metric tons of wheat were produced annually, with the lion's share of the wheat being used to produce food. Feed and other uses accounted for most of the rest of the produced wheat and only 8.7 million metric tons of wheat were used to produce fuel. Maize, sugar, and oilseeds are the agricultural commodities that are most likely to be turned into fuel.
