This survey describes the consumption frequency of traditional Japanese confectionery (wagashi) in Japan as of June 2017. The survey revealed that the majority of respondents, almost 28 percent, ate Japanese-style sweets once every two to three months. In contrast, only about 0.5 percent of Japanese respondents claimed to consume wagashi on a daily basis.
