A 2022 survey found that nearly 80 million U.S. workers with remote-work options work remotely one or more days per week, with 29.3 million working remotely five days a week. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many workers across the U.S. began working remotely for the first time. The popularity of remote work has continued as pandemic restrictions have relaxed.
