Alcohol consumptions: teens and young adults Germany 2021

In 2021, around 9 percent of teenagers (aged 12 to 17) answered that they were drinking alcohol regularly. This was a significant decrease compared to 40 percent a decade before. The survey asked two groups of young people, aged 12 to 17 and 18 to 25, in Germany if they drank alcohol regularly. Regularly was defined as drinking at least once a week.

The sample size is only for the current reporting year. Earlier values refer to older survey results. The Drug Affinity Study (Drogenaffinitätsstudie) researched the regular alcohol consumption of teenagers and young adults since 1979.
From 1993 including new federal states.
