Alcohol consumption of teenagers and young adults in Germany 2021
In 2021, around 9 percent of teenagers (aged 12 to 17) answered that they were drinking alcohol regularly. This was a significant decrease compared to 40 percent a decade before. The survey asked two groups of young people, aged 12 to 17 and 18 to 25, in Germany if they drank alcohol regularly. Regularly was defined as drinking at least once a week.
