In 2021, the marine wild caught fish and seafood production volume in Zhejiang province, China (including catch from distant waters) amounted to approximately 3.2 million metric tons, accounting for the biggest portion of the total wild caught seafood production in China that year. Fujian province ranked second with around 2.1 million metric tons of marine wild caught seafood. China's total wild caught fish and seafood production volume from marine sources amounted to around 11.76 million metric tons that year.
