Between September 2021 and September 2022, 26 of the lowest-priced grocery items in the United Kingdom increased in price. Vegetable oil was the hardest hit; the price for an average bottle increased by 65.2 percent within this time period. Other items which increased the most in price included pasta, tea, and chips.
