Japan: metaverse awareness by age group 2023

A survey conducted in Japan in September 2023 showed that a combined share of 83.7 percent of respondents aged 40 to 59 years old knew about the metaverse to varying degrees. While the share was slightly lower among younger age cohorts, Gen Z respondents had the highest share of people who stated to know what the metaverse is.
