Leading words associated with the metaverse Japan 2022
A survey conducted in Japan during August 2022 showed that the metaverse was most commonly associated with the words "virtual reality," "augmented reality," and "mixed reality," as well as with the word "avatar." While 42 percent of the respondents stated to associate the metaverse with these terms, the share was lower for others, such as "3D" or "head-mounted display."
