China: impact of COVID-19 control measures on German companies 2022

In a survey among German companies operating in China conducted in August and September 2022, about 90 percent of respondents stated that their business turnovers in China were impacted by the country's strict COVID-19 control measures. However, almost half of all companies surveyed reported no impact of the Zero-COVID policy on employment.

Among all the 593 member companies participating in the survey, about 60% were from machine/industrial equipment , automotive, and business services sectors. About 66% of the companies had production business in China.
