Expenses on subsidy for basic medical insurance participation in China 2017-2021
In 2021, 18.51 billion yuan were spent on subsidies for participation in basic medical insurance in China, representing a slight drop from the previous year. In the past five years, the cost of medical insurance subsidies increased by more than 150 percent.
