Finland: digital intensity 2022

Almost 70 percent of business enterprises employing at least 10 persons in Finland had a high or very high level of digital intensity, meaning that they used at least seven of the twelve digital technologies considered in the study in 2022. That was above the European Union (EU) average of over 32 percent.

The level is based on how many of the 12 digital technologies an enterprise is using (0-3: very low, 4-6: low, 7-9: high, 10-12: very high):

Maximum contracted download speed of at least 30 Mb/s;
Having web sales account for over 1% of the total revenue and B2C web sales for over 10% of total web sales;
Having e-commerce sales for at least 1% of the revenue;
