According to a study on podcast consumption in the first half of 2023, podcast consumption on Spotify is growing in particular among older age groups. In Australia, the age group of 65 years and older saw an increase in listening hours by 67 percent compared with the previous year. In Spain, this group even reached an increase in listening hours by 94 percent. The age group of 55 to 64 year-olds also saw immense growth in podcast listening hours.
