Distribution of preferred medium for news consumption MENA 2022, by country

According to a survey on the news industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in 2022, 76 percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates stated that they received their news through social media. Social media was also the preferred means of news consumption amongst 68 percent of respondents in Egypt. Television was the preferred source for news amongst respondents in Saudi Arabia, at 63 percent.
