In Portugal, in 2022, 84 percent of male respondents declared that they consumed an alcoholic drink at least once during their life, while 68 percent of women did the same. Over the previous twelve months, 75 percent of men and 53 percent of women consumed alcohol. In the previous 30 days, the share of consumers diminished for less than 50 percent for both groups.
