In 2020, about 17.28 million U.S. licensed drivers were aged between 20 and 24 years, a dip compared to 2013 licensed driver figures. At almost 20.12 million people, drivers aged between 55 and 59 represented the largest group of licensed drivers; making up just under nine percent of the total licensed population in the country.
