In 2022, a survey conducted in the United Kingdom regarding the most important news platform to news consumers showed that during the period under consideration 71 percent of respondents chose television. By contrast, just 53 percent of news consumers who used social media for news at least weekly considered social networks to be important to them personally as a news source.
