Attempted burglaries on business premises reported in England and Wales 2016 This survey shows the proportion of attempted burglaries on business premises that were reported to the police in England and Wales between 2012 and 2016, broken down by industry sector. In the 12 months prior to survey, 83 percent of attempted burglaries in the 'Manufacturing' industry were reported to the police. Attempted burglaries in the 'Arts, entertainment and recreation' industry had also a high chance of being reported at 72 percent. By comparison, only 4 percent of attempted burglaries in the 'Information and communication' sector had been reported.
