This statistic shows the number of methadone seizures by police forces in England and Wales from 2006/07 to 2017/18. Such seizures peaked for this period in 2010/11 at 1,067, and then showed year on year decreases in every following reporting period, reaching a low of 463 seizures in 2017/18.

In 2015/16 Bedfordshire, Dorset, Essex and Leicestershire were unable to supply reliable estimates. Imputation methods, based on police recorded crime, have been used to estimate the 2015/16 data for these forces.
In 2016/17 & 2017/18 Kent were unable to supply reliable estimates. Imputation methods have been used to estimate the 2016/17 data for this force.
