Adults holding driving licenses in England 2019

While the number of male driving license holders has always been greater than that of female driving license holders, the gap between the two has decreased significantly from 7.4 million to one million between 1975/76 and 2019. The number of driving license holders increased steadily throughout the period under consideration.
